PtPDF417Decode
PtPDF417Decode is a software development kit to decode PDF417 barcodes from digital images in black-white format or gray format. The SDK comes with dynamic link library (DLL) for Windows95/98/2000/XP/NT.

Storage
capacity:
The
SDK supports Text, Numeric and Byte Compaction modes. The information
stored in a symbol depends on the mix of ASCII, numeric and hex data. Each
symbol can encode 1850 ASCII characters in Text Compaction mode, 1108
bytes in Byte Compaction mode, or 2710 numerical digits in Numeric
Compaction mode.
Error
Correction Code:
The
SDK supports error correction level 0-8. The error correction algorithm
can recover the data from the barcode even with severe damage.
Recognition
rates:
Recognition
rates depend on the pixel number of the X-dimension and the quality
of image. The recognition algorithm can overcome multiform
defects in images (scratch, smudges, damage, fuzzy code, etc.) If
the width of the X-dimension is no less than 2 pixels, the performance of
the SDK is good enough. If no less than three pixels, our engine can get
a recognition rate of nearly 100%.

orientation:
The
SDK supports any orientation, (Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal,
Upside-down, Flipping).

The
SDK can detect the barcodes anywhere in the whole image or in the area
specified by users.
